Kek Lapis Sarawak

I love eating Kek Lapis Sarawak since 18-19 years old. Not only the colors look pretty but they taste wonderful. Make sure you buy the real Kek Lapis Sarawak so that you know how delicious the cakes really are..

I remember when I was in Melbourne, Australia, the closest one to Kek Lapis Sarawak I can find & eat is..Lapis Legit...made in Indonesia. Yeah at least I still can find layer cakes in Melbourne hehehe...

So for this Aidilfitri, I bought some layer cakes from Sarawak.. I prefer cakes from Kek Lapis Afifi and Mira Cake House than Kek Lapis Dayang Salhah, because their cakes are not dry and taste quite good. Kek lapis Dayang Salhah are also okay, but if you keep them in your refrigerator, you have to thaw them for a while before you can cut & eat them (several minutes to hours are consumed here). Anyway it depends on your preference, because some people would love Dayang Salhah's more than other brands.

Favourite flavour of mine - Chocolate Cheese, of course I bought this one a lot, because I want to eat it too (not only serving it to guests). Other flavours I love - Kek Lapis Cadbury, Keladi and Masam Manis. You should buy your favourite flavours and not just taking any flavour randomly, because for sure, you will be able to finish your favourite flavour cakes without any problem! (no wasted cakes then, hehe).

If you want to buy these layer cakes, better buy from Sarawakians, because that's where this cake originates (in Malaysia), they know how these cakes should taste really.

Have fun doing preparation for raya to all! ☺

p/s: every cakeshops in Sarawak is closing orders for raya, so if you want to buy but didn't buy yet, please search for other cakeshops which sell delicious cakes, okies.

Oh Cantek Sekali Cupcakes!

Tried a few online cake shops in Kuala Terengganu. Most of them fail to gain my attention as their cakes taste so fail. Their cakes are so beautifully decorated but when we eat... oh.. is this a cake or not a cake? I also bake cakes so I expect these so-called 'bakers' to bake better cakes than me, or at least, the taste of the cakes should be as the same level as mine.

Until I found this online cake shop (based in Terengganu), by Sis Rina Rahman (I met her once when she sent her cupcakes to me at my office, she's as beautiful as the cakes she bakes and decorates). Tried her Nutella, Oreo and Red Velvet Cupcakes and all of them tasted very good. Gave some of the cupcakes to my friends and all of them said the cupcakes were so delicious & yummy. My nephew, Rafiq, likes the Oreo cupcakes so much as he said, "sedap gilerrr kek Oreo ni.." :D

So below are the pictures of the cupcakes I ordered from Sis Rina (pics taken from OhCantekSekali Fb page )

Nutty Nutella Cupcakes (the frosting tasted like chocolate ice cream!)

Suprisee Suprise Oreo Cupcakes (I love this one the most!)

Red Velvet Cupcakes (a true red velvet cake)

So if you are in Terengganu and want to have cupcakes in any of your events (or at anytime you crave for some indulgence), do visit her Facebook Page or OhCantekSekali blogshop, and order her cupcakes. You'll never regret. ☺

p/s: purposely write an entry about cupcakes during Ramadhan, because I want to you crave for more food hahaha ☻

Ramadhan 1433H

Been neglected my blog for months. That's the main reason why I make it private. No idea on what to write.

Some people request me to make this blog public again. They want to see my 'biskut raya' recipes. So yes, take your chance to read my recipes and don't forget to jot them down :p LolJk

It's already 13th Ramadhan today, what have you achieved so far? Take this chance to pray as much as you can, do every good deed you can, everyone is aiming for Jannah, so let's struggle for that.

Have a blessed Ramadhan to all! ♥♥♥
